How does it work? A DeluxeCard prepaid card looks
like a credit card. The front of the card displays the name of the
purchaser or gift recipient,
the Visa Brand logo, an individual account number and an expiration
date. The back includes a magnetic strip. Unlike a credit card, however,
the DeluxeCard prepaid card may only be used for the amount loaded
on the card.
Purchasers or gift recipients can use the card as
many times as they like for a full year, up to the amount stored on
the card. As the card
is used, the amount of each purchase is automatically deducted from
the card's available balance. If the card is lost or stolen with a
balance remaining, the user can cancel the card and order a replacement
for a nominal fee.
How much does it cost? DeluxeCard prepaid cards can
be purchased in dollar amounts from $25 to $500. In addition, there
is a processing
fee of $5.95 for dollar amounts from $25 to $250, and $7.95 for dollar
amounts from $251 to $500.

a card design, a dollar value, and select a personal message to be
imprinted
on the card. Then choose to have the card sent to you or to a gift
recipient. For security reasons, each DeluxeCard prepaid card must

Can I use my DeluxeCard prepaid card at
more than one merchant?
Absolutely.
As long as there are funds remaining on your DeluxeCard prepaid card,
and the merchant accepts Visa debit cards.
Can I use the DeluxeCard prepaid card for online
purchases?
Yes! You can use the DeluxeCard prepaid card anywhere Visa debit cards
are accepted - in stores and online.
What happens if I spend all the funds on my DeluxeCard
prepaid card?
Your DeluxeCard prepaid card will no longer be accepted as a valid
form of payment. At this time, you can discard the card or keep it
as a special reminder of the person who gave it to you.
What happens if I lose my DeluxeCard prepaid card?
If a card is lost, DeluxeCard Customer Service will close the account
and promptly issue a new card with the remaining balance of the lost
card. There is a $15 fee for this service.
How long does it take to receive a DeluxeCard prepaid
card?
After a DeluxeCard order is submitted, it is immediately processed
and produced within one to three business days. Next, it is sent to
you via First Class mail. You'll receive your DeluxeCard order in the
average number of days it takes the U.S. Postal Service to deliver
mail from the DeluxeCard issuance facility located in California to
the final destination. Deluxe Financial Services cannot guarantee or
expedite the delivery of the U.S. Postal Service.
Note: DeluxeCard Express Delivery, which delivers
your order within two business days after you submit it, is available
for an additional

How do I use my DeluxeCard prepaid card at restaurants?
You are encouraged to use your DeluxeCard prepaid cards at restaurants
that accept Visa debit cards. For authorization purposes only, a 20%
gratuity is automatically added to your food bill. In addition, some
restaurants have pre-programmed their own card terminals to authorize
a gratuity (usually 15-20% of the food bill). Both additions are for
authorization purposes and you will only be charged for the gratuity
you designate on the receipt.
Can I use my DeluxeCard
prepaid card to "pay at the pump" at
gas stations?
"Pay at the pump" card terminals immediately
verify that there are enough funds on a prepaid card to complete a
transaction for an "average purchase of gas," or $50. If
your card does not have enough money to pay for this amount, it will
be declined by the "pay at the pump" card terminal. If your
remaining balance is less than $50 and you would like to spend it on
a fuel purchase, we recommend that you pay for your purchase at the
merchants' cash register.*

What if my purchase exceeds the value on my DeluxeCard
prepaid card?
To make a purchase that is more than the available balance on your
card, you may use another payment method to share the expense of your
purchase. This is called a split transaction. Simply use your DeluxeCard
prepaid card to pay for a portion of the purchase amount and a second
payment method - check, cash, or credit card - for the remainder.
Please note that split transactions are subject to
individual merchant policies. When making your purchase, remember to
tell the merchant
the dollar value on your DeluxeCard prepaid card. (You can easily verify
this via the DeluxeCard Web site, www.deluxe-card.com, or DeluxeCard
Customer Service (866) 874-9029.) The merchant will not be able to
provide you this information. If you attempt to make a transaction
for more than the balance on your DeluxeCard prepaid card, the transaction
will be declined.*

account number and special three digit code found on the back of your
card on the DeluxeCard home page under "Returning Cardholders." Then

Can I add a personal message?

Can I purchase a DeluxeCard prepaid card at my financial institution's
banking center?
Unfortunately, DeluxeCard prepaid cards are only available to purchase
online.
Why the difference in price between cards with values
of $25-250 and with $251-500 values?
Typically it takes a longer time, and requires more transactions, for
DeluxeCard recipients to spend cards with higher dollar values. In
turn, there are greater processing fees to support increased customer
service needs for these card users.
Can I send a DeluxeCard prepaid card to anyone in
the United States?
Yes. The card can be delivered to anyone within the United States,
including those in Alaska and Hawaii. The cards cannot be sent, however,
to post office boxes, APO or FPO addresses, or international addresses.
How will the card look when my recipient gets it?
DeluxeCard prepaid cards arrive to the recipient in a special, privacy-protecting
envelope that contains the card and a card carrier that features the
names of the purchaser and recipient, dollar value and designated personal
message. It also includes usage instructions and terms and conditions.
What should I do if my recipient doesn't receive
his or her DeluxeCard prepaid card?
If the card has not arrived at the recipient's address via U.S. Postal
Service within 10 business days, please call DeluxeCard Customer Service
toll free at (866) 874-9029 to verify your order. Remember to have
your order number and the credit card or debit card number used to
purchase the DeluxeCard prepaid card handy. Lastly, confirm that the
recipient information provided is accurate.
How will I know the original value of my DeluxeCard
prepaid card?
The purchaser has the option of having the dollar value embossed on
the front of the card. It is also featured on the card carrier the
recipient receives with the card in the mail.
How can I check my available balance?
Your DeluxeCard available balance can be verified by clicking on "My
Account" on www.deluxe-card.com or by calling DeluxeCard Customer

Can I add more money to my card?
DeluxeCard prepaid cards are not reloadable. You can order a new

What happens if I have a remaining balance when my
DeluxeCard prepaid card expires?
Cards are good for one year from date of issuance. If a balance
remains on the card after six months, a monthly maintenance fee
of $2.50
will be charged to maintain that balance.
How long can I use my card?
Your DeluxeCard prepaid card expires 12 months from the date of
issue - look for the expiration date right on the card. A monthly
maintenance
fee of $2.50 is waived for the first six months after the date
of issuance. If you don't use the full amount on the card within
12
months, you
may call toll free (866) 874-9029 to have a new card issued with
this balance on it for $15.
What if I have a remaining balance after my card
expires?
For a $15 reissue fee, a new DeluxeCard prepaid card will be
sent to you.
